Parque Historico Guayaquil
No domingo, Veronica, Gina e seu pequeno Matias nos pegaram no hotel e nos levaram para conhecer o Parque Historico de Guayaquil.
O Parque Historico Guayaquil e um local muito interesssante. E um programa cultural,
ambiental, educativo, recreativo e turistico que nos transporta no tempo ate os costumes e tradicoes da antiga Provincia de Guayaquil, criada em 1763, que compreendia quase toda a regiao costeira do Equador.
Este Parque conta com 8 hectares divididos
em tres zonas: a Zona da Vida Silvestre, Zona das Tradicoes e da Arquitetura Urbana, as quais conjugam o natural, o urbano e o rural sob um unico conceito: o resgate, conservacao e promocao das tradicoes da Cidade constituindo-se em um lugar de recreacao conjugado
com a educacao, tanto de adultos quanto de criancas.
Zona de Vida Silvestre: Em tres hectares foram recriados quatro eco-sistemas caracteristicos da regiao: a Floresta Tropical seca, Floresta de Mangues, Floresta Tropical de inundacao e a Floresta
de Garoa onde se podem avistar 30 especies em exibicao e outras tantas em estado silvestre.
Zona de Tradicoes: Expoe a vida rural da agricultura costeira no final do sec.XIX e inicio do sec.XX. Esta regiao tem tradicao agricola e de criacao de gado
e possui uma florescente producao agricola. Nesta circunstancia historica surge a figura do "Gran Cacao" ou o fazendeiro que permanecia longas temporadas na Europa, financiadas pela riqueza que o cacau propiciava. Assim aqui estao retratadas a Casa Hacienda
San Juan (casa do fazendeiro), Casa Campesina (casa do peao da fazenda) em um ambiente que mostra as plantacoes, hortas, aves e animais domesticos, quintal das casas da epoca.
Zona Urbana e Arquitetonica: uma mostra que possui edificacoes de valor historico
e arquitetonico construidas no inicio do sec.XX e que foram desmontadas, remontadas e resgatadas com o patrocinio do Banco Central do Equador durante os anos 80 e transladadas para o Parque. Aqui, estes predios, em conjunto com o Malecon 1900 (Avenida a beira
do rio), a Estacao Fluvial, replica do transporte urbano e personagens vestidos com roupa de epoca, recriam a Cidade de Guayaquil do sec.XIX e inicio do sec.XX.

Guayaquil Historic Park
On Sunday morning, Veronica, Gina and her little boy Matias picked us up at the hotel and took us on a visit of Guayaquil Historic Park.
The Park is a very interesting place. It is a cultural, environmental,
educational, recreational and touristic program that takes us back in time to the customs and traditions of the old Province of Guayaquil, founded in 1763, which included almost all of the coastal region of Ecuador.
This park has 8 hectares which are
divided into three zones: Wildlife Zone, Traditions Zone and Urban Architectural Zone, combining the natural, rural and urban life under one single concept: to rescue, conserve and promote the traditions of the City through educational means in a recreational
place.
Wildlife Zone: Showcases the natural surroundings the region had during pre-hispanic times, showing native flora and fauna aiming at conservation. In three hectares four ecosystems from the region were recreated: the Dry Tropical Forest, Mangrove
Forest, Flood range Forest and the Drizzle Forest, where about 30 species in exhibition can be seen along with the same number in their natural environment.
Traditions Zone: Showcases the agricultural and rural life of the coast on the late 1800's and
early 1900's, bringing back to life the roots and the traditions of the region, which are related to agriculture and cattle raising ever since colonial times. Under this historical background, the figure of the "Great Cocoa Bean" emerged, or the one of the
"landlord" who would spent long periods of the year in Europe, financed by the prosperity cocoa exports supplied. Hoses such as The Peasant House and The San Juan Farm House have been recreated integrated by a plantation environment with barns, birds and domestic
animals, orchards with plants, herbs and vegetable beds recreating their natural environment.
Urban Architectural Zone: Buildings of great historical and arquitectural value which were built at the dawn of the 20th century were taken apart, restored
and reassembled under the support of Banco Central de Ecuador during the 1980's and were taken to the Park where along with the Malecon 1900 (avenue by the water), the docking station, the public electrical system, urban transportation and entertainers dressed
in 1900's costumes, recreate the lifestyle of late 19th and early 20th century in Guayaquil.
A live museum and History class for both young and old, which encites us to preserve that which is ours...
